As we ring in 2011 it’s a perfect time to reflect upon what we have done; and, to look forward at what we can do better.
Many of you may recall while I was your Ward 1 Alderman for four years between 2006 and 2009 I worked very hard at opening up the lines of communication between me and my constituents. When I was elected to represent the City as an Alderman-at-Large in 2010 there was a tremendous learning curve — more than what I thought to get up to speed not just on what the needs and concerns of the Ward were; but now the other Wards and to truly understand holistically what was happening in the City. And, my monthly communiqués became a victim of the extra time I needed to get my arms around my newly elected position.
In 2011 I look forward to again using these monthly communiqués as a way to engage you; as well as help you keep up with how your Board of Aldermen are representing your needs.
