RIP Dick Flynn

Dick FlynnAlderman Dick Flynn passed away Monday morning after battling Leukemia.

Dick was a great man and a wonderful friend!  I will miss him and his words of advice.

Many will remember his insight into the budget and fiscal health of the City — I will remember that too; however, I will also remember him for the great advice he gave me about family.

This man, this great man, certainly had a terrific perspective and he always knew what was important…first and foremost, his family!

His family dominated his thoughts.  From his lovely wife, his two sons and their accomplishments, and his beautiful Granddaughter Emily…his love was always seen in his eyes and heard in his voice.

Thank you Dick for sharing these last six years with me…you have made my life richer for knowing you!

RIP my dear friend!
